Custom Robots Header Tags Settings On Blogger

This search robots are responsible for knowing the updates on our sites and notifying the search engines about the same thing. You can connect with the crawlers to increase and decrease the search visibility with the aid of proper predefined tags. And that’s what I will be sharing with you in this post.
If you are a blogger on BlogSpot blog looking to increase your search engine exposure, so that your organic traffic will reach the greatest height, then you have to follow this guide for enabling the custom robots header tags for maximum search engine visibility, it’s really important especially if your blog is new.
Am going to start by explaining what they are to you before getting to the process of setting up custom roots header tags on Blogger.
Custom Robots Header Tags and Its Uses
In Blogger, you are to deal with the following custom robots header tags.
1.  all: If this enabled, it allows the crawlers to crawl, index and expose your content without any bound or constraints.
2.  noindex: This tag prevents search engines from indexing the pages of your blog. Most blogs are not put out for public notice and even if you don’t share the URL of your personal blog with anyone there are still chances that people might still reach your site through search result, so to avoid this you can enable ‘noindex tag’.
3.  nofollow: Nofollow and dofollow tags are for outbound links. Dofollow is the default robot tag for all your outbound links. That’s to say the search engines can sneak upon the pages you linked to. If you don’t want search bots to look through your links, nofollow tag will help you.
4.  none: none add up with the features of both noindex and nofollow tags. The crawlers will neither index your pages nor pass through the links.
5.  noarchive: You might have noticed a cached label with most of the website links on SERPs. It shows that Google has captured a copy of your site into their server to display in case it goes down. That being said, the noarchive tag turns off cached version in search pages.
6.  nosnippet: The text snippets in search results help people find what’s on the webpage. If you want to keep the content exclusive, you can turn this header tag on.
7.  noodp: Open Directory Project is a man-made directory of websites. Google use the information from there sometimes. You can turn it off with this tag if you want to.
8.  notranslate: Do you want to disable translation on your site? Then use notranslate for the exact purpose.
9.  noimageindex: If you allow Google to index your images, people may steal it and use on their own websites. To prevent that, you can keep the images deindexed using noimageindex tag.
10.                   unavailable_after: In Blogger, you will get a field right to this tag. So, the webpage will be deindexed after this time.
Adding Custom Robots Header Tags
This is the basic part of this tutorial as its easy and you don’t have to waste any time..
1.      Sign into your blogger account and on your dashboard locate your settings.
2.      Settings >search preference>crawlers and indexing.
3.      Select ’Edit’ just next to custom robots header tags and check the Yes check box.

4.      You will get a set checkboxes. It might look complicated but don’t worry it’s not. If you have read this post and known the Custom Robots Header Tags and its uses then you would be able to set them on your own or you can just follow the same settings I choose as given in the image below

5.      Once you are done press save changes button.
6.      Excellent work, you are done!
That’s about that for this tutorial. Custom Robots Header Tags are strong because Google provides a readymade setup to use them so you should be sure you want to set them before using them. Also do not thick the noindex checkbox until and unless you are sure about it because using it pulls your website off from search engine result pages (SERPs)

If you run a Blogger Blog for personal or business use, you may often need to alter the HTML code for it. Meta Tags may affect where your blog appears in search engine results.
Blogger automates the coding aspects of your blog which saves you time creating HTML and CSS code. Adding Meta tags to your blog allows you to include information that may affect how well your blog performs in search engines.
Adding HTML Meta tags
·         For best search engine performance make sure your Meta keywords match the content of your Blog.
·         Search engines place only a limited amount of importance on Meta tags, with the actual content of your blog having a bigger impact on where it will appear in results pages.

If you are creating your Meta tags then it’s better and easier to prepare it in advance rather than writing the code directly into Blogger. You will need to create a blank text file in a test editor to build your Meta tags. The most common Meta tags are for the site description and keywords, there are also Meta element you can include to indicate the author and revised dates for page content.
To create keywords Meta element, use the following outline: <Meta name=”Keywords” content=”print, design, publishing, bespoke”/> you can use this example for a print and design business, with the keywords indicating the content of the site pages. Change the keywords to suit the content on your blog. You can use the following syntax for the description Meta element <Meta name=”description “content=”Bespoke print and design solutions”/> the description includes readable sentences concisely explaining the content and purpose of the site. Don’t forget, change it to suit your own blog.
1. Access the HTML content for your blog:
Log into your blogger account and on your dashboard locate Template/Design/Theme and click “Edit HTML” from the list along the top of the Theme section. A large text field appears with your blog code in it. Check the “Expand Widget Templates” check box above the text field to show all of the code for the template your blog is using.
2. Locate the head section of your blog:
You need to place your Meta tags in the head section of your blog template. The easiest method to do this is to locate the closing </head> tag. You can also use your browser’s FIND tool to do this by pressing ‘Ctrl-F’ or choosing “EDIT” and “FIND” from the browser toolbar menu. Enter “</head>” (without quotes) and press “Enter” to find it in the HTML code. Place your cursor before the closing head tag.
3. Enter your meta tags:
Now copy your Meta tags from the text file you created and go to the point you placed your cursor at in the blogger HTML code and paste the Meta tags by selecting Edit and then paste from your browser menu. Click the Save Template button under the HTML text field for your blog. Your blog template will be updated to include the Meta tags.

The user or visitor is automatically directed to the offer. To the video ads part, propeller ads provide in-banner video ads in the form of pre-rolls, mid-rolls, post-rolls, and pre-game. This are only 10-30 seconds of video advertisements which run at the start of video contents or flash games, this features do make it a strong and attractive choice for both publishers like me and advertisers and for publishers we earn more from this.
